The International Finance Corporation (IFC) launched the Operating Principles for Impact Management in April 2019. The Impact Principles were developed in collaboration with industry leaders and other stakeholders and provide a framework for investors for the design and implementation of their impact management systems, ensuring that impact considerations are integrated throughout the investment lifecycle. The Impact Principles is hosted at the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) today since the transfer of the Secretariat from the IFC in November 2022.
As a signatory to the Impact Principles MEF publicly discloses the alignment of its impact management system with the Impact Principles.
Also, the MEF completed its first independent verification in September 2022, demonstrating that its impact management process is aligned with the Impact Principles.
